Oakwood Junior Mary Kate Vaughn is the 2013 OHSAA D2 State runner up in 18:09.70.  As a Freshman, in 2012, she won the title with a 17:41.57.  On the track in 2013, as a Freshman, she was 2nd in the D2 1600 with a time of 5:00.41 and won the 3200 with a 10:45.47.

Hudson Senior Kyle Mau has been to the OHSAA State XC meet three times.  As a Freshman, he was 81^st running 16:36.08, as a Sophomore, he was 23^rd in 15:50.87 and as Junior he was third in 15:21.93.  He is the leading D1 returner.  Last spring, he was 2^nd in the D1 3200 with a time of 9:03.07.  As a Sophomore, he placed 6^th in the D1 1600 with a 4:13.19.

Liberty Center Sr. Brittany Atkinson has the opportunity to join an elite group of runners that have won three State titles in XC.  She is the defending 2013 D3 State title holder with a time of 18:31.45.  She won as a Freshman in 2011 with a time of 18:27.51 and was 2nd in 2012, running 18:06.67.  She is also the defending State D3 girl's 3200 champion running 10:53.48.

Chagrin Fall's Jr. Joe Bistritz is the leading D2 boy's returner.  He was 2nd in last year's State meet with a time of 16:10.67. He followed that up with a 2nd place in the State D2 1600, running 4:18.80.  As a 9th greater, he ran 56th in the 2012 State XC meet (18:49.87).

Centerville's Lainey Studebaker was third in last year's D1 OHSAA State Cross Country Championships with a time of 18:30.53.  She is the #2  D1 gir'ls returner.  On the track, she was 2nd last spring in the 1600, running a 4:58.88.  In XC, as a Freshman, she was 34th at State (18:50.62).

CVCA Sr. Ryan Adams ran 7th in last years D2 OHSAA State XC Championship (16:22.62).  He followed up in the spring winning the 1600 in 4:18.44 and the 800 in 1:52.59.  He has developed into one of the State's leading middle distance and distance runners.

Wauseon Junior Taylor Vernot is the OHSAA defending D2 State Champion, running a 18:04.40.  As a Freshman she ran 11th in 18:49.17.  On the track she was 10th in 2012 in the D2 1600 (5:16.47) and last spring she was 6th in the 1600 (5:07.25) and 11th in the 3200 (11:42.67).

Urusline Academy Senior Catherine Finke was 7th in last years D1 OHSAA State Cross Country Championships with a time of 18:42.25.

Jr. Fallon Doyle of St. John's Central placed 8th in last years OHSAA D3 State Championships with a time of 19:06.53.  She was 3rd in her freshman year, running 18:35.81 and in 2012 ran 11th with a 18:51.15.

Vandalia - Butler Sophomore Emma Bryant was the leading D1 Freshman in last years 2013 OHSAA State Cross Country Championships.  She ran 9th in a time of 18:51.30.  She followed that up in the spring with an 8th place finish in the D1 1,600. (5:03.81)

St. Xavier Senior  Michael Vitucci was 8th in last years OHSAA State Cross Country Championships (15:42.20.)  He is the #2 returner and followed up last year's XC season with a 1st Place in the D1 1600, running 4:07.96.  He also anchored the Xavier boy's to an All Ohio State Record in the 4x800 (7:36.33) and split a 1:49 as he anchored the team to a win in the 4x800 at the New Balance Outdoor Nationals (7:37.26).

Junior Ann Heuerman led the Upper Arlington team last year at the OHSAA State Cross Country Championships.  She placed 10th in her State premier running (18:51.98).  As a Sophomore, she also placed 11th last spring in the D1 3200.  (11:13.79)  Watch for Ann to continue moving up on the podium.

Wyoming Senior Ben Stites ran well as a Junior placing 6th (16:22.21) in the D2 OHSAA Cross Country Championships.  In 2012 he was 38th(16:34.10). He followed up his 6th place XC run with a 7th place finish in the D2 1600, running 4:22.58.
