Keys jumped 22-11.75 to win the SBC Championships on May 16, a PR that ranks him 14th in Ohio across all grades in the long jump. He first hit the mark four days earlier at SBC HS Day 1 on May 12, also at Perkins. His season opener of 21-9.5 at the Jim Hauser Pirate Relays stood as his best for most of the spring before clearing 22-11.75 at conference. His 2025 outdoor best was 19-10, set at the SBC Championships.
Buga's conference week hosted the two best throws of his career. He opened at 171-3 at the Perkins vs Bellevue dual on Mar. 31 and built steadily through the spring, before throwing 189-4 to win SBC HS Day 1 on May 12 and matching it at the SBC Finals on May 16. The PR ranks him 3rd in Ohio across all grades. His 2025 outdoor best was 158-2, set at the AW Hendricks Invite on Apr. 17, 2025.
GIRLS
At the GCL Championships in mid May, Weiss ran 25.94 in prelims to set a PR that ranks her 146th in Ohio across all grades in the 200m. She opened the season at 28.57 at the LaSalle Legends Track and Field Classic on Mar. 28 and had been steadily cutting time ever since. Weiss also jumped 16-9.5 in the long jump at the same conference meet, which ranks 141st in Ohio across all grades.
Winning the Ohio Capital Conference Cardinal Championships in 15.06, Burrs set a PR that ranks her 30th in Ohio across all grades. Her season arc shows a hurdler who gradually found her stride: she opened at 16.71, ran 17.71 at her next outing, then dropped sharply to 15.73, and kept chipping away until her conference PR. Her 2025 outdoor best was 15.98, set at the Ohio Capital Conference Cardinal Championships.
