Cory Glines, a senior at St. Thomas Aquinas, has committed to the University of Michigan to continue his academic and athletic career. Glines is the defending Division 3 State Champion, and current Division 3 State Meet Record Holder in the 1600m run. Glines was also the runner up at the 2012 Division 3 State Cross Country Meet where he crossed the line in 15:20.66 to set his personal best time in a 5K.
Glines time at the 2012 OHSAA Track and Field State Meet of 4:12.93 is the second best returning time in the state in the 1600m run, and a top 50 returning time in the nation. During the 2012 season, Glines placed third at the Div 2/3 Indoor State Meet in the 1600m run with a time of 4:25.08.
